How to Enable WHOIS Privacy on Your Domain

Hide your personal contact information from the public WHOIS database to prevent spam and protect your privacy.

What is WHOIS Privacy?

When you register a domain, your name, email, address, and phone number are stored in the public WHOIS database โ€” visible to anyone who looks up your domain. WHOIS privacy replaces your personal details with generic privacy service information.

How to Enable It

  1. Log into your ACBIZ GLOBAL client portal
  2. Go to My Domains
  3. Click your domain name
  4. Scroll to Privacy Protection
  5. Toggle it On

Changes take effect within a few minutes.

Important Notes

  • You must temporarily disable WHOIS privacy when initiating a domain transfer โ€” re-enable it immediately after
  • WHOIS privacy is available for most .com, .net, .org, and new TLDs
  • Some ccTLDs (e.g. .ke, .ng, .za) do not support WHOIS privacy by registry policy
Tip: Always enable WHOIS privacy on personal or small business domains โ€” it dramatically reduces domain-related spam calls and emails.
